Dagmar is with VAMED – an international leading health care group which is part of the FRESENIUS Group – for more than ten years. She started in the field of operational hospital management – as Vice-President of the VAMED mediterra Group, a hospital chain operating 7 hospitals and providing a wide range of services in acute care, follow-up care as well as preventive medicine in the Czech republic (part of the VAMED group). During that time also served as managing director of MEDNET (part of the VAMED group), a company focusing on sales development and patient acquisition, medical marketing, Public Relations, HR recruitment and other services for hospitals and health care facilities.

Since more than six years she is involved into the international activities and business of the VAMED Group. Dagmar manages a team that set up various standards, market analytics, key business concepts and managed or participated in implementation of various projects and engagements in Europe, UK (co-lead VAMED UK market entry), China, South-East Asia, Australia – including stakeholder negotiations, development of studies and concepts, business structuring and financial modelling.

Four years ago, she was promoted to the VAMED Headquarters in Vienna, Austria, fully focusing on international business activities. She is in charge of market/business/portfolio development in the field of medical services, hospitals and rehabilitation in many markets all over the world and reports to the top board. Dagmar is CEO and co-founder in exclusive cooperation with VAMED of a spin-off company called AQUILIA HEALTH, which is serving as a fast-forward vehicle for identification of international trends in the field of healthcare and is supposed to drive innovation (“think-tank”), international market intelligence and business development with special focus on China.

Before joining the VAMED Group and the healthcare industry more than 10 years ago, Dagmar worked four years for Czech state owned governmental institutions directly managed by the Ministry of Transport and Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic, where she was responsible for selected tasks, especially in the field of international relations, public relations and public affairs, management and business development.
Dagmar`s educational background is business. She hold a degree from the Open University Business School (United Kingdom), specialization business studies–management (diploma title) and an MBA degree with focus on management and leadership from Cambridge Business School (CBS). Holds several executive education certificates from the Harvard Business School, focusing on Health Care delivery management (value-based healthcare with M. Porter and R. S. Kaplan) and Finance (general finance, entrepreneurship and venture capital, private equity and alternative investments), an executive education certificate from Colombia University – Finance (Value Investing), certifications from the Corporate Finance Institute – financial modelling and business valuation and a certificate from MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) focusing on the topic of Artificial Intelligence in Health Care.
